On Foot: Shade & Water

Have you ever heard the saying about Madrid “Dos Meses Invierno - Diez Meses Infierno”, which means “two months of winter, ten months of hell”? In summertime (July and August) the temperature can easily reach 40ºC. Can you imagine anything nicer than a shady stroll in the numerous parks of Madrid or at the Río Manzanares-riverside (which is actually – as we speak – being converted in one big Central Park)? What’s more… while walking we stop to have a drink on a terrace, to buy a hat or a fan and who knows… at the same time we could end our trip with a refreshing dive into the pool.
